We just bought a 110 year old farmhouse. We have already named the acreage `Green Acres.` We can`t wait until our story unfolds, city folks living in the country life.

My wife and I recently bought a farm with an old farm house and she said it reminded her of farmhouse on Green Acres!

did anyone else see this article with misinformation?
Veteran actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, who is best known for her starring role in the long-running television series, `Green Acres,` is in critical condition following hip replacement surgery, according to her husband.
The 90-year-old star was injured Monday when she fell out of bed, prompting doctors at Los Angeles Hospital to perform hip replacement surgery.
Preliminary reports were that the procedure was successful and that the actress was recovering. But her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, reports Gabor has taken a turn for the worse, and is not responding to human contact.
The Hungarian born actress was partially paralyzed in an auto accident in 2002. She has starred in such films as `Moulin Rouge,` `Lili` and `Touch of Evil.`

Just watched a Green Acres on one of the new digital channels here in Australia. In the episode, Oliver comes into the bedroom to find Eb watching an episdode of `Petty Coat Junction` which he refers to by name several times. It was absurdly hilarious on a number of levels not the least of which is both series are kinda parallel set in the same town with common characters and occassional crossovers. Eb himself in one episode dated Betty Jo from PJ.
Despite the common setting of the two shows, common characters and crossovers, the humor in Green Acres is very different to that of Pettycoat Junction which follows the more standard sitcom template. It seems to me the writers of Green Acres were given carte blanche to take the show wherever they wanted in order to get a laugh and they delivered in spades.

I was just wondering if Oliver had stepped into an alternate universe? Sometimes he understands what is going on but most of the time he doesn`t. But as the show goes on, he seem to adapt, isn`t surprized by what happens so much, and even seems to add to the insanity? Just a passing thought. I still love the show.

Wow. I created a Green Acres quiz on Sporcle and thought people who come here might enjoy it. The site wouldn`t post the URL and gave me a nasty message `Thanks for TRYING to SPAM my guestbook....`
Geeze. I`ve posted here for over a year. Anyway I posted a quiz on Sporcle where you try to guess the names of all the recurring characters on Green Acres. If you just go there and search for `Green Acres` you`ll find it.
Have fun.

I E-mailed MGM Website a couple of times about Green Acres 4-6. No response. I am disappointed at their lack of interest in the fans. I would like to complete the set.
