Jaden, that is strange you can`t find more episodes of Petticoat Junction! It ran so long, longer that Green Acres I believe. Yes, I liked Mr. Ed as well! Speaking of all these great old shows, the rumor I heard was that in the early 1970`s, the networks all got new bosses, and they began wanting to change or cancel shows to fit the changing times! It was all downhill from there. I once read an article from someone who said about Green Acres and Petticoat Junction, that after the early 1970`s got started, any show with a tree, decent people, and good clean entertainment got the ax! Sad, but true. About the only show that remained true to it`s dedication, theme, and didn`t get the ax, was one of my all time favorites, Hawaii Five-O. I`m a huge fan, and besides this Green Acres website, the Hawaii Five-O website is the only other I visit or post on now. Hope you continue to find more episodes.

Jaden; My guess to your question is that these neighboring places had to exist for supplies. Hooterville didn`t seem to have major stores, so fictional neighboring towns were invented for people to mention as places to go and get major supplies. Often, in real small towns, it was a larger town down the road a few miles that had the merchandise. Just my guess. Still, it all the more made Hooterville seem real, with real surrounding towns!

I am thrilled as a Hungarian woman, to be putting on a skit for the USPS in Kansas City next week as dressing/singing as this infamous Hungarian woman! Email me if you are interested in a photo of the event!

I visit a lot of websites like this, which are great, and dedicated to the outstanding shows of the 1960`s! It`s a matter of time before somebody comes up with the idea of making a movie of the series, or a remake. I know Green Acres had reunion shows, but hopefully nobody will get the idea that hollywood should make a Green Acres movie! Look at how many attempts have been made lately to make movies based on old TV series, only to bomb! You can`t improve on the original, only crudely compare. That`s where they fail. It`s sad that most of the original actors are now gone. However, in the event that a remake discussion ever comes up out here, please remember at all the others who`ve tried and failed. Regardless of whether or not such a remake or movie is made, the result won`t have any effect on the original...it`s set in stone as a classic!

There is something i dont understand. Why is Hooterville always being sown but i have never seen Pixly, Crabwell Corners or Stankwell Falls. I still love the show and hope i can soon buy season 4.

I agree, Nancy! TVland here keeps changing their time schedule. I guess your best bet is to just record it and watch it later.

Hi Jaden! Yes, many of the characters from Green acres appeared on the Beverly Hillbillies, as well as Petticoat Junction. Sorry you haven`t had the pleasure of seeing all of them. Yes, the other shows you mentioned are among my favorites as well. Nothing can replace those great shows from the 1960`s!

Yes, the way they crossed actors from one show to another made it even more real like.

Yes, Jaden, I also loved Petticoat Junction! The way these shows interacted was terrific, seeing them appear on Green Acres, then Petticoat Junction, and even crossed over with the Beverly Hillbillies once in a while. Made it seem like a real life world there!

I have to second the motion about the `message board.` I think it is a great idea...Eva Gabor is just a `classic.` So femine and beautiful. She and Eddie Albert worked so well together.
